What Is The Night Plate?

Problems such as jaw clenching and teeth grinding during sleep seriously affect dental health. Since clenching is done unconsciously, it is necessary to use a night plate to protect the teeth  during sleep. These plaques, which are used while sleeping, are specially designed for the person.

For this reason, it is a procedure that should be applied under the control of a dentist.

What is Night Plaque?

Many people experience teeth grinding at night as a result of the stress they experience in daily life. The problem of teeth grinding or clenching teeth causes the teeth to wear out. It is also one of the causes of slippage in the jaw. Night plaque is the apparatus used during sleep to prevent these problems.

For night plaque, the dentist examines your jaw and tooth structure. Then a mouth guard is made specially for you. These protectors, made for night use, aim to prevent your teeth from rubbing against each other.

In this way, the deterioration of the tooth and jaw structure is prevented.
